Joanne H. LIM is the founder of The Right PerspectiveSG, a consultancy specialising in writing and strategic communications.

After graduating from high school, where she authored the school’s creed, “Live with Passion, Serve with Compassion”, Joanne was awarded a full scholarship to pursue an undergraduate degree at Princeton University in the United States. During her time at Princeton, Joanne was awarded the President’s Prize and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society for outstanding academic excellence.

After graduating from Princeton, Joanne worked at PSA International Pte Ltd (PSA), one of the world’s leading port operators. Following PSA, Joanne was awarded a merit scholarship to pursue a Masters in Wealth Management at the Singapore Management University, where she graduated among the top five of her class and was awarded the Portcullis Wealth Management Prize. After attaining her Masters, Joanne worked at Goldman Sachs and UBS AG, before joining the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). She founded The Right PerspectiveSG in 2013.

Joanne was awarded the Singapore Literature Book Prize (Non-Fiction) in 2014 for “The Leader, The Teacher & You”, a book on leadership and governance. She also co-authored “Winning with Honour”, a book on success in life, family, and work that was launched in April 2016. In 2019, Joanne wrote her first children’s book,Meme the Monkey Wins in Life”, a book for pre-school children on what it means to win in life, and also produced a related video on how best to respond to a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) world in 2020

Joanne was also awarded the Community Chest Charity Gold Award in 2020 for raising SGD 283,000 for children-at-risk in Singapore. She is the co-founder of The Leading Foundation that sponsors “The Leading Foundation Teacher Awards”, which were the first awards established in Singapore to honour early childhood and special needs educators. Joanne also founded the “Madam Chow Kwai Wah and Mr Law Ka Yin Gold Medal Award”, which is the first award to honour excellence in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) studies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
