Charles Lim Sing Siong is the General Counsel (Managing Director) at GIC, where he oversees the Legal and Compliance department. Prior to GIC, Charles was in private legal practice with Rajah and Tann and Jones Day before moving to Credit Suisse where he was the Head of Legal and Compliance. Charles graduated from NUS Law School and did his masters in law in the University of Oxford. Charles is a chartered arbitrator and Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. Charles was awarded the Credit Suisse CEO Leadership Award and the Singapore Chief Legal Officer Award. Charles has been a District Councillor with the Central Singapore Community Development Council for 16 years. He is an Advisory Board Member of both the SMU Yong Pung How School of Law and Raffles Girls’ Primary School. He is also a Community Advisor for Honour (Singapore). For his service to the community, Charles was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2016.
